Martin Luther King, Jr Day weekend, January 19-21st, are tentative dates for a
northeast Unconventional Action convergence in Binghamton, New York to network
anti-authoritarians for the protests against the 2008 Democratic & Republican
National Conventions.

While plans are still coming together, we wanted to give people a heads up and
start getting the word out. Several groups/individuals are working on

A shocking report came in from the Immigrant Solidarity Caravan as they prepared to set out for Manassas from Culpeper,VA. Sanctuary movement leader Elvira Arellano has just been arrested by ICE and is being held in detention in Los Angeles!

She had just spoke at Our Lady Queen of Angels Church in downtown La, and was preparing to go to another church to speak. -Moments after she got in her van her van was surrounded by Federal Gestapo!

Some of you may recall William Kristal, editor of the Weekly Standard, a notorious neocon journal. This is like a Bush/Cheney/Perle/Rove version of Der Sturmer! You know things got more than more than a little WTFish at this Saturday's Anti-Immigration Rally when a certain Nazi nimrod we know announces a $250 reward for DLJ's address (hint: somewhere outside Philly)!

On July 2 in El Salvador many, many people were beaten, 25 were shot with rubber bullets, and 13 charged with terrorism for peacefully protesting water privatization. These "terrorism" charges carry 40 YEAR prison terms!

Although 14 were arrested originally, one was so badly beaten that prosecutors reportedly dropped charges rather than have his beaten and bloodied face shown to the media in a courtroom.

I see that Cindy Sheehan is announcing a possible run against Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. Sheehan's angry that Pelosi has consistently resisted defunding the Iraq war and has staunchly stood against the impeach-Bush-and-Cheney tide sweeping the Democratic/antiwar netroots. Yet it seems, also, that she has had an ideological awakening:
